An Afro-Soul singer from Mthatha, Anathi Diko, known as Anathi Khalmesh, has released an album titled ‘Indlela Inde’, consisting of 12 songs. He described it as a remarkable album and mentioned that he has also released singles and performed live with a band. According to him, he chose to sing this type of music to bring hope to those who feel hopeless. “I wanted to reach out to more people who, like me, are going through a lot and help them become more self-aware of social injustices. We are all facing many challenges. Through my music, I aim to spread the importance of taking care of one another in our native tongue,” said Diko. He added that his music is for all ages and that he takes great pride in seeing both the elderly and the young enjoying it. He confirmed that he had released five singles and had only been a live theatre performer at Ushaka Marine World in Durban from 2015 to September 2018. Now he has become a recording artist.
