AUTHOR Siphiwe Sozembe (32) hopes his new book, titled Lost and Found: I have earned my life back, will inspire and empower victims of abuse and enable them to forgive and move on from their past experiences.

Sozembe, from Godini Locality in Ngqeleni, says that the book is a real-life encounter of the abuse he experienced during his upbringing, and how he was able to move on from that horrible experience to the person he is today.

This is the second publication from the upcoming author, who published his first book, Entrepreneurial Factors for Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur, as an e-book in 2021.

“The new book is me pouring out what I have experienced growing up, with the aim of inspiring others who may have experienced abuse in their upbringing to forgive and move on from their experiences.”

“I also share my entrepreneurial journey, the things I lost in that journey due to the abuse experienced in my upbringing, and how I survived and picked myself up to be the person I am today,” said Sozembe.

He added that his book is also eye-opening to those who may unknowingly be living with victims of abuse on things to look out for, as some are not able to talk openly about the abuse they may be experiencing.

Sozembe’s book is a self-funded project published through his own publishing company, CTI Publishers.

The book is currently available directly from the author. Orders can be placed by contacting him on 063 475 7596 for calls and WhatsApp messages.

Alternatively, Sozembe can be reached by email on siphiwecharles.s@gmail.com or on Facebook as Siphiwe Charles Sozembe.

Sozembe says that he is currently in negotiation with the Eastern Cape Department of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture to assist him in having the book available in all major bookstores.

The book is available at R210 per copy, but those that need it delivered to them will have to pay an additional amount for the courier service.
