South African Football Association (SAFA) in the Eastern Cape is expected to announce their verdict this week after the recent incident that occurred in Gqeberha, where football supporters of BCM Stars and SA Spear of the Nation FC were seen fighting each other with bottles and stones in the stands during the ABC Motsepe League’s deciding fixture.

This incident forced match officials to stop the game because some of the supporters had sustained injuries.

The game was abandoned in the second half with the away team, Spear of the Nation FC, leading 1-0.

The match officials submitted a report to SAFA authorities regarding the incident at Wolfson Stadium in Gqeberha and the reason why they had opted to not continue with the game.

Over the weekend, the two teams were supposed to face each other in second leg of the ABC Motsepe League deciding fixture at the Mount Frere Stadium, but SAFA opted to postpone the encounter until they had resolved the first leg incident.

Now, reports revealed that the football association has managed to look into the matter and they are expected to release the verdict soon.

Bizana team, Nation FC, have written on their Facebook account that they are ready to hear the outcome of this matter and they also highlighted their readiness to return to action.
