Former GladAfrica Championship Division side, Bizana Pondo Chiefs, have poured cold water the rumours that the club has been sold.
The remarks of the Pondo Chiefs from Bizana come after the recent rumours that were trending in social media that the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League team has been sold.
Last week, team management issued the statement in their social media platforms refuting the rumours and assuring their supporters that the club is busy preparing for new ABC Motsepe League season.
Team management said, “The management of Bizana Pondo Chiefs would like to set the record straight that the rumours that are trending on social media about the team being sold are not true.
“We distance ourselves from those rumours; we just saw the rumours on the social media. We want to assure our supporters that there are no changes and we are busy with the plans for the next season. We are very disappointed about the false rumours; we are very sorry to our supporters.”
Last season, Pondo Chiefs finished the season in third spot in the ABC Motsepe League Stream A standings, below Amavarara FC and their neighbours, Spear of the Nation FC, who won Stream A.
This coming season, it is clear that the Bizana team will try their best to fight to be crowned as the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League champions, so that they can have another opportunity to play in the National First Division.
