Vocalist and music composer, Samora, has gifted her music fans with dance tunes for the festive season, following the release of her seven-track gqom music EP, titled The Rise of Samora.

Born Anathi Tase, from Bawa village in Butterworth, Samora burst onto the music scene when she was featured as a vocalist in an afro-pop track, titled Mama, by Bra Cee in 2020.

She has since then featured on several afro-pop singles but says gqom music has always been her musical calling.

“I always wanted to evolve from being known as an afro-pop vocalist to being a gqom artist because I consider the latter my calling in music.

“The evolution was just delayed by not having found the right music producers to work with when I started in music,” Samora added.

Samora’s EP features several up-and-coming artists, such as Style, London, Luda, Rude and Ndira.

The EP is available for download and streaming on many platforms including YouTube and Audiomack.

A link to download the project is also available on Samora’s Facebook page Samora-Vocalist.

Samora is signed to S.A.M. Entertainment, a Cape Town-based record label which produced and mastered her EP.
