The organiser of the I’m a Christian comedy show, Sihle Ngcele, confirmed that this show would be held at the Mthatha Town Hall on February 26.

According to him this would be his first show even though he used to work with other comedians. “After I noticed that people were complaining about the age restrictions and that we host our shows next to the places that sell alcohol, I decided to name it about Christianity because I am also a Christian.

“I wanted to ensure that whatever we are doing we are not sending wrong messages to people,” said Ngcele.

He said besides entertainment, people who would attend this show would learn something new.

He decided to host it in Mthatha so that people could see that it was not necessary to go to Johannesburg when someone wanted to develop his talent. “Young people should know that even if you are in Mthatha you can pave the way and develop the economy of King Sabatha Dalindyebo, instead of going to other areas.”

He confirmed that the comedians who would be sharing the stage were Malibongwe Ta-Mrojana Dickmolo from East London, Luphelo Kodwa from King William’s Town, Ludwe Obiya from King William’s Town, Bonginkosi Mntwanomgquba Tatemntwini from Port St Johns, Zikhona Nongqiza Msuthu from Qonce (King William’s Town), Awonke Ngcele and Zimvo Mpahleni both from Mthatha.

Ngceke confirmed that tickets were R100 if booked in advance, and R120 at the entrance. The show starts at 18:00, ending around 21:00.

“Those who want to book tickets could call me 078 134 3793 because we deliver them. They can also inbox me on Facebook,” Ngceke said.
