The U/19A rugby sides of Die Brandwag and Framesby High ended the Eastern Cape season with excellent victories away from home.
Die Brandwag made the trip from Kariega to Gqeberha to beat Pearson High in Summerstrand 26-5.
The visitors handled the windy conditions very well and always looked in control of proceedings. They weren’t afraid to run the ball and scored four tries against one.
Framesby took the road from Gqeberha to Humansdorp for their annual Interschool match against Nico Malan.
This was a much closer contest, but Framesby handled the very strong wind just a little bit better than the home team to scrape through 22-17.
Framesby used their scoring opportunities and lifted their defense at crucial times to secure victory. They scored four tries against three and both sides could just add one conversion in the difficult kicking conditions.
