The founder of Ministry of God Fraternal, Reverend Sihle Xamba, from Mthatha, confirmed they would be hosting a Youth Day event at Nyandeni Great Place, with the aim of motivating the youth on June 16. The event would start at 09:00 and end at 14:00.
Xamba said he had started this ministry with the aim of bringing together church members from different denominations. He said the churches decided to host this event after they realised that young people were facing different challenges. He confirmed that they would be working with Chief Siseko Ndamase from Nyandeni location.
“Our children are facing problems such as unemployment and gender-based violence. We then decided to spend our time with them so that they would know that through all odds they are still important,” said Xamba.
He added that they would not focus only on women, but also men and those who are still at school, emphasising that education is very important.
“We will be hosting another event on Women’s Day that will be specifically for women. In all these programmes I am working with other church ministries including Reverend Luyanda Xhamlayo from the Apostolic Healing Church of God.”
Chief Ndamase said that they were praying that there should be job opportunities so that the youth could have something to do instead of roaming around doing nothing.
