Sasol League Inland Stream side, Executive Ladies’ FC, are continuing with their important preparations for a brand new season, which will be starting towards the end of this month.
Since last month, there were reports that the Sasol League season and Hollywoodbets Super League would start in the first week of April but the start has been delayed.
In a draft fixture that was seen by this publication, the Hollywoodbets Super League was scheduled to kick off on April 3, while the Sasol League was hoping to return to action on April 9.
However, Executive Ladies’ chairperson, Mawethu Nama, has confirmed that they had received news that their season will start on April 23 and they are continuing with preparations.
Nama also told Mthatha Express that their preparation for the brand new season is going well and they have high hopes for a successful campaign. Last season they failed to qualify for the Sasol League national promotion play-offs, as they were beaten by City Lads in the Sasol League Eastern Cape deciding fixture.
After City Lads won in the fixture, they represented the Eastern Cape in the play-offs, which were held in KwaZulu-Natal. They managed to win promotion to the Hollywoodbets Super League.
Executive Ladies hope to follow in the footsteps of City Lads by winning their upcoming fixtures and gaining promotion.
