EXECUTIVE Ladies, from Ntabankulu, continued their impressive run in the Sasol League Inland Stream at the weekend.
The defending champions registered another important victory when they defeated mid-table side, Eastern Rangers FC, 2-1, away from home.
Both teams went into this league encounter aiming for maximum points, as Eastern Rangers were looking to close a five-point gap between themselves and the league leaders, while Executive Ladies were aiming at opening the gap even wider between themselves and the title chasers.
Fortunately, the Ntabankulu team managed to stick to their plan, as they collected maximum points so that they could stay on top of Sasol League Inland Stream with 13 points after five games.
Eluhewini Ladies, from Engcobo, are sitting in second place with nine points, after they defeated Amanqilo Birds FC, 3-2, over the weekend.
The victory helped Eluhewini Ladies to keep the pressure on the league leaders.
In other results, Cumakala Ladies defeated Mzamba Ladies 5-2, while bottom-placed side, Red Roses Ladies’ FC, destroyed Coastal United Ladies’ FC 5-0.
This weekend, in the Sasol League Inland Stream will see Eluhewini Ladies visit Bizana team, Mzamba Ladies.
In another match, the Mthatha team, Ayakha Stars, will host Cumakala Ladies.
The league leaders, Executive Ladies, will aim at continuing their winning streak when they entertain Amanqilo Birds.
Meanwhile, Red Roses Ladies’ FC will play against Eastern Rangers.
