THE Nodolo family, from Lower Sinxaku location in Tsolo, is appealing to any good Samaritan who can assist them in burying their sister, Nolundi Nditha (21), who was stabbed to death, allegedly by her boyfriend, Masibulele Matomane (38), at Sqhungqwini locality in the same district.

The sister of the deceased, Andisiwe Nodolo (33), said all the family members were unemployed and they had no means of preparing for the funeral.

She said her sister had an eight-month-old baby boy, whom they now needed to look after.

“We were supposed to bury her (Nditha) on October 9, but we did not manage to do that because we have nothing (no money) in our hands.

“My family received a call that she was stabbed. On the following day my aunt went with the parents of the deceased to see her at Malizo Mpehle Hospital in Tsolo, where she was admitted. She had already passed away when they arrived in the hospital,” said Nodolo.

She said the family is only asking for help so that they could give her a dignified funeral.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, confirmed that Nditha died in hospital after sustaining one stab wound to her abdomen.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Luxolo Tyhali, confirmed that Matomane briefly appeared before the Tsolo Magistrate’s Court and his case was postponed until October 12 for formal bail application.

“He is charged with murder, kidnapping, assault, GBH, and malicious damage to property,” said Tyhali.

The outcome of Matomane’s second court appearance was not known at the time of going to print.
