Three buses from AB350 Bus Services had been burnt by unknown perpetrators at the Depo in Butterworth last night.
This was confirmed by the Provincial Secretary for Eastern Cape Small Bus Operator’s Council (ECSBOC), Manelisi Siguqa.
He added that on Monday, August 14, two buses were also burnt in Willowvale; as a result, they lost five buses in two days.
“Even the depo was also burnt in Willowvale.
“The Task team that was established in the meeting that we held at Mayfair Hotel in Mthatha with the members from the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) has not yet started to talk to the members of the taxi industry about the danger of vandalising the buses that belong to AB350 bus services,” said Siguqa.
Police officers have not yet confirmed these incidents.
