POLICE from Willowvale found five dead bodies of unknown men at Willowvale Plantation at Bhulwini Forest, recently.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, confirmed that the employees from Willowvale Plantation Forest were arriving at work to perform their duties when they saw the deceased, who had been badly assaulted with bruises and wounds on the upper body.
“Police were alerted to the incident and on arrival they found the bodies piled on top of each other and with blood on their faces. Four of them had their hands tied with rope behind their backs,” said Kinana.
He added that no weapons were found at the scene. He confirmed that they were later identified by their families and five counts of murder were opened for investigation.
“The motive for the killings is unknown at this stage but the police investigation continues.”
He appealed to anyone who may have information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for the killings to please make contact with Willowvale police station or call the Crime Stop Number 08600 10111.
