Four people lost their lives
after two vehicles collided head on at Hange locality in Tsomo on the R61 road last night.
The vehicles were travelling between Cofimvaba towards Ngcobo.
According to the
Spokesperson for Department of Transport, Unathi Binqose, both vehicles were
traveling from opposite directions.
The vehicles involved were a Toyota Avanza with three occupants (two men and a woman) from Cofimvaba, as well as a Chevrolet with one occupant from the Ngcobo side.
“Both vehicles collided head
on. All three occupants from the Toyota Avanza and the driver from the Chevrolet were declared dead on impac,” said Binqose.
He added that the cause of the accident is still unknown at this stage.
The incident is still under investigation and a case of culpable homicide would be opened by Tsomo SAPS.
