Butterworth team, Thunderbirds Ladies, are looking forward to the brand new season of Hollywoodbets Super League after they managed to reinforce their squad with five new signings.
Hollywoodbets Super league season is expected to start this weekend and Thunderbirds Ladies will open their league campaign away when they travel to Golden Ladies this Saturday.
Coach Thembalethu Apleni’s troops will go to this league encounter with their confidence high as they managed to beef up their squad with new signings, and they also started their preparations very early so it means they are ready for action.
Last week, Butterworth team announced on their Facebook page the new signings they have made during off season, which include the likes of Sibiya Bongeka Amahle (22) who was playing as midfielder in White City FC, Ndou Easter (24) a centre back from First Touch Academy FC, Munzhedzi Fulufhelo (34) a full back from Shayadima Morning FC, Mkhwanazi Nontobeko Thandeka (21) a right wing back from Durban Ladies FC and goalkeeper Letebele Obusitse (25) from South East Girls Botswana.
During off season preparations, coach Apleni made it clear that they wanted to compete for the top four in Hollywoodbets Super league.
Last season Thunderbirds Ladies had improved their game as they managed to finish the season in the top eight teams compared to their previous campaign where they finished outside the top ten.
