Theresa Minnie (73), who was kidnapped on Monday in front of her home in Kariega (formerly Uitenhage), has been reunited with her family.
According to a Facebook post by a close relative this morning, she “is home safely and completely unharmed. We are overwhelmed by all the love and support during this time! Thank you for each message, call and prayer,” the post read.
Confirmation or details regarding her return could not be obtained from the Hawks.
Minnie was abducted at 05:30 by the occupants of a silver Polo hatchback.
Minnie’s abduction is one of at least two abductions in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro this week. On Wednesday last week, a businessman (47) was abducted near his business in Nielson Street, in the Neave Industrial area in Korsten. He was released a day later.
