The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality has re-elected Nyaniso Nelani as its Executive Mayor for the term running from 2021 to 2026.
The inaugural council also elected Nomamfengu Siyo-Sokutu as its council Speaker.
The council sitting, which is still ongoing, is still expected to elect the Chief Whip, as well as those who will represent the municipality in the OR Tambo District Municipal council.
“I thank the people of KSD for exercising their civic duty to vote. I take the responsibility with gratitude and commitment to serve the people of the municipality,” Nelani said upon accepting his re-election.
Speaker Siyo-Sokutu also thanked the council for the confidence shown in her and for electing her as council Speaker.
