The Lusikisiki Magistrate’s Court has remanded an educator (35) from Mdingi Primary School in Lusikisiki in custody following accusations of sexually violating 21 boy learners, pending his bail application on November 4,2022.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Luxolo Tyali said the educator faces 15 counts of sexual assault and nine counts of exposing children to pornography.

“It is alleged that he committed the offences between November 2021 to October 2022. He would invite his alleged victims aged between 13 and 17 to his rented apartment under the guise of assisting him to rearrange his furniture,” said Tyali.
He added that the educator would allegedly make the leaners watch pornography on his laptop and there after undertook to commit sexual act.
“The NPA will oppose bail on this case and has assigned State Advocate Nkululeko Mzinyathi to prosecute it. More charges are expected to be add when he makes his next appearance.”
