A traditional singer from Nkelekethe location, in Willowvale, has released his first solo album, titled Siyabakhumbula.
Cwenga “Igubevu lika” Magadlela said he used to sing in a group called Ngama 442, but left in 2019. He said he decided to continue with his journey which led him to release his new album, which consists of 10 songs.
“When the group ended, I told myself that I will not let anything block my way in music. I am proud because I managed to release my own album in September this year. When I grew up, I used to listen to traditional music and I knew that one day I would be an artist,” said Magadlela.
He added that, at the moment, he was busy promoting his new album, but promised his supporters that another one would follow next year.
