Mdantsane-born independent artist, Lungisile Mdunyelwa (37), popularly known by his stage name ‘Lush bytheway’, marked Youth Day, on June 16, by releasing his second studio album, titled A Love Bite Project Volume 2, a nine-track collection, containing a mixture of hip-hop and soul.

His latest album is a follow-up to his debut studio album, titled A Love Bite Project Volume 1, which he released in 2017.

He has, however, been releasing a single every month since his debut album, through his Umlahlo Project.

“Love is the theme and message of my latest studio album, as I realised that everyone needs love while some have given up on love.

“Throughout the album, I am trying to revive love, and also stress the importance of communication and making time for the one you are in love with,” said Mdunyelwa.

One of the hit singles from his latest offering, titled Waya Waya, which features Zimbabwean artist, C/Brian, has already received international acclaim, after being snapped up and featured as a soundtrack on a film called A Good Parable, which is currently available on Netflix and Showmax.

The track was co-produced by Mdunyelwa and Qasebeats, with plans to release its music video this month or next month.

Mdunyelwa’s latest album is currently available on most music streaming and download platforms.

Alternatively, the album can be obtained as a zip folder by contacting Mdunyelwa on his WhatsApp line on 073 563 8749 at a cost of R100, or in the form of a CD that can be delivered through a courier to the buyer at R165, including the delivery costs.

All the tracks on the album, except Waya Waya, were produced by Mdunyelwa, through his label, Freedom Beats Records.
