The Gift of the Givers Foundation is the largest disaster response non-governmental organisation of African origin on the continent, with the aim of instilling hope and restoring dignity to the most vulnerable populations.

Since 2022, the foundation and MBSA have established a demonstrable partnership in addressing socio-economic needs and providing aid to communities affected by natural disasters in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), and the Eastern Cape. By swiftly deploying a trusted disaster relief response team to respond to the aftermath of gale-force winds at Gqala Primary School, the partnership successfully addressed the immediate and longer-term needs of learners impacted.
