Police in Mthatha have implemented the 72-hour activation plan as they hunt for suspect(s) involved in the murder of a local businessman, who was fatally shot outside his home in Mthatha last night.
According to Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, police spokesperson, it is alleged that on Saturday evening, 13 August at about 20:55, a 40-year-old local businessman was fatally shot in his driveway at Indwe Street in Southernwood.
“At the scene, the deceased sustained several gunshot wounds in the upper body, and was lying next to his vehicle. At this stage, a motive for the attack is unknown,” Nkohli said.
Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Xolisa Mtwa on 071 475 1871.
