Police are investigating a double murder after two bodies were found in a white Kombi on September 12 close to the R61 junction in Mthatha.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, the vehicle had bullet holes in it.
“Members received a complaint of the incident and on arrival discovered two deceased males, aged 45, with gunshot wounds. The motive is said to be related to taxi issues,” said Kinana.
He added that the taxi owner was at the scene and identified his vehicle as well as his employees [the deceased].
“No arrests have been made yet and circumstances surrounding this murder is under investigation.”
