MTHATHA Stadium is set to host the OR Tambo Regional decider between Mighty Eagles FC and Flagstaff Galaxy FC this coming Sunday.

The winner will represent the OR Tambo region in the provincial play-offs.

Mthatha Stadium is expected to be packed, as both teams have a huge base of supporters.

Flagstaff Galaxy FC is the Coastal Stream winner, and finished their stream in first position with 22 points, while Mighty Eagles FC finished the Inland Stream in first position with 41 points.

Mighty Eagles finished their league match two weeks ago against their rivals, WSU Mthatha Campus, and won their derby 2–1, while Flagstaff Galaxy finished their last league match in February and won 1–0 against Pondo Chiefs FC.

Despite playing their last league match in February, the chairman of Flagstaff Galaxy FC, Mpumzi Mphambeli Mketi, said his players are ready to face Mighty Eagles this coming Sunday.

“In the past few months and weeks we were busy playing friendly matches and the players are still fit,” said Mketi.

If the match ends in a draw, the teams will go straight to penalties.

The match will start at 14:00 this coming Sunday at Mthatha Stadium.
