The rainy weather conditions in the Eastern Cape did not stop soccer supporters from going to stadiums to watch their favourite teams during the Easter Tournament held at Mthozela Location in Qumbu.
The annual tournament is organised by the sports enthusiast, Mlibo Skrweqe, and every year hundreds of supporters attend the tournament.
This is one of the most prominent and well-attended sports tournaments in Qumbu and it attracts teams from various locations. This year 16 teams were registered.
Tiger FC from Mthozela location were crowned the champions of the 2022 Easter Weekend Tournament.
Tigers walked away with kit, a ball and a cash prize after they beat Matyhamini FC 2-1.
According to the organisers and supporters, the 2022 Easter Tournament was a huge success as there were no conflicts reported.
