Music promoter and gospel singer, Bunono Mxokwana, from Mnandi location in Willowvale, will be hosting gala dinner events in three different districts this month.
The first event will be held at Three Trees Guest House in East London on April 22; the second one will be at Vammie’s Guest House in Dutywa on April 29, and the third one at Three Trees Guest House in East London on May 6. A fourth event would be held in Stutterheim but the date has yet to be confirmed. He said all the events would run between 18:00 to 22:00.
According to Mxokwana, the aim of these events was to raise funds that would help a new musician from Dutywa, Ndumiso Mdleleni, to build his own studio.
“He is very talented so I felt that there was a need to assist him so that he could be able to take care of his family and to develop his talent, When I met him I saw someone who is very talented and who could play music instruments that is why I decided to give him the support he needed so that he could grow in this industry,” said Mxokwana.
According to Mxokwana, Mdleleni recently released his first song, titled Akuhlali Kunzima.
He said tickets were available at Dutywa SPAR and from Mxokwana. “The tickets are R500, which includes a meal and accommodation. A second option costs R200 and it includes a meal only.”
