Gospel musician, Abongile Mbebe, is taking full advantage of the lifting of the national state of disaster and is now reviving his musical career, which he had to put on hold due to the national lockdown that was imposed to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

Mbebe declared to Express that he is officially back and is busy promoting his album, Baba Ndiyavuma, a 10-track project that he initially launched in 2019 but never had time to promote it to his fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The album is also available as a DVD, which he filmed in 2019.

During his absence from the music spotlight, Mbebe, from New Payne Location in Mthatha, worked as a radio presenter at Radio Grahamstown and found time to further his studies.

He managed to complete a digital storytelling qualification at Rhodes University, as well as graphic design, office administration, business management and musical art short courses, completed with various institutions.

“I am back in the music industry, as I had disappeared from the spotlight. I have decided to dedicate some time to promoting my old album, which I never had the chance to promote,” Mbebe said.

He further promised his fans that he was also working on new music which he plans to release soon.

Mbebe has thanked his fans for giving him the courage to come back to the music industry.

His Baba Ndiyavuma album and DVD are currently available on iTunes at R50 and R80 each respectively.

Mbebe is available to shed more information on his music on Facebook as Abongile Abostar Mbebe or by contacting him directly on 073 338 8919.
