A case of culpable homicide has been opened at Komga SAPS following a head-on collision on the N2 near Komga on Wednesday, February 9.
Department of Transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose said that the accident happened at about 17:00.
“Both vehicles
were travelling from opposite directions. The VW T Cross, with two occupants was coming from the East London direction, while the Toyota Avanza with six occupants was coming from the Butterworth side,” Binqose explained.
He added that all occupants of the Avanza
perished on the scene, while both occupants from VW T Cross
sustained severe injuries.
“Circumstances surrounding the cause of the accident are still unknown,” Binqose said.
