Netball teams around OR Tambo Region are preparing to compete at KwaKhanya eAfrica Music Festival and Entertainment’s third annual netball tournament, this coming Saturday.
This is a junior netball tournament meant to encourage young women to participate in sport.
More than seven teams have already registered to participate in this year’s tournament, including the 2021 champions, Khanyisa High School’s, netball team.
The Khanyisa’s team told Mthatha Express that they were ready to defend the title again this year.
The draw for the tournament will be held this Friday at KwaKhanya eAfrica facilities in Norwood, Mthatha.
The overall winner for this tournament will walk away with a R1 500, netball kit and gold medals.
According to the tournament organisers, they had not experienced any challenges in the previous two tournaments.
The tournament will be held at eMasimini Sports Ground in Ngolo, Mthatha.
