The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce (NAFCOC) in the Mnquma Local Municipality, in partnership with Amathole District Municipality (ADM), donated food parcels to 10 households that were severely hit by a storm in Mgobhozweni location in Ngqamakwe.

NAFCOC chairperson in the Mnquma subregion and businessperson, Zukile Mbelani, said the donation was in response to a plea by ADM Executive Mayor, Councillor Nceba Ndikinda, who asked the business fraternity to assist in alleviating the plight of the storm victims.

“Ndikinda called me telling me about the devastation left by the storm that hit the Mgobhozweni area early in February and asking that we assist the families with food parcels, and we responded by donating 10 food parcels to those that were severely affected by the disaster,” Mbelani said. ‘The donation was also part of our corporate social investment and ploughing back to our communities, who are also our customers.”
