ATHLETE Nwabisa Magade (31) has received a nomination for best coach at this year’s Eastern Cape Youth Sports Awards.
She has been nominated for her contribution towards developing young people in sport.
Magade is the head coach at Fairfield Athletics Club, which is home to 30 athletes. She has been involved in assisting upcoming athletes from rural areas in the OR Tambo region.
Before the lockdown period, Magade and teammate, Linda Tolobisa, represented Fairfield Athletics Club in the 2019 Soweto Marathon. This is the first time in her career that Magade has been nominated for an award. She urged to people to vote for her, as this will inspire and motivate the children.
