COFIMVABA-BORN author, Siphokazi Patuleni (27), has published her second book, titled Iziphumo Zemfihlo, a captivating Xhosa novel that she co-authored with the book’s publisher, Nkuthalo Tyutulo, of Nkuthalo Media Pty Ltd.
Her first book was published last year, with the title Zonke Ziyodlula.
“My new book depicts an intriguing fictional story of a man who hid his first marriage from his second wife, which resulted in his son from his first marriage falling in love with his sibling, the daughter of his father’s second wife,” Patuleni said.
She said the core message of the book was that there was no secret that stayed hidden forever, while it also encouraged people to confess their hidden secrets and deal with the subsequent consequences.
Patuleni said she was a self-taught author but credited her high school IsiXhosa teacher for encouraging her to write in her mother tongue, after she had noticed how well she did in her Xhosa studies.
The book, Iziphumo Zemfihlo, is currently available from Patuleni at R100 per copy.
An additional amount of R65 is payable by those who need the book to be sent to them via a courier service.
Those wishing to obtain a copy of the book can reach out to Patuleni on 078 203 0206 or reach her on Facebook as Siphokazi Nocwaka Patuleni.
