SAPS Mthatha detectives are on the hunt for suspects
allegedly involved in a double murder on October 21, 2021, at Zimbane Valley.
It is alleged that at about 20:05, the community alerted
police after hearing gunshots at their neighbour’s residence. On arrival,
police found a couple aged 28 and 29 years, murdered in their room.
According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Kaya Matola-Mvanyashe,
the man, aged 28 years, sustained bullet wounds on the upper body while the
woman sustained one bullet wound on her body.
Police also confiscated 10 Mandrax tablets.
The motive for the murders is yet to be established and
suspects are unknown at this stage.
In an unrelated incident, Tsolo police are investigating a
case of murder after a 52-year-old man was found dead in his house at Tshisane
location Sidwadweni A/A yesterday afternoon, October 21.
“It is alleged that at about 16:00, neighbours noticed that
the livestock of the deceased was in the kraal the entire day. Upon
investigating, they found the man with multiple stab wounds. An axe was found
next to him,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Kaya Matola-Mvanyashe.
The suspect/s are unknown at this stage and a case of murder
is under investigation.
