Police are investigating two
cases of attempted murder and robbery at Rasmeni and Sentubi locality, which took place last night.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni, said it is alleged that three unknown men kicked in the door and entered a house at Rasmeni locality where they found children sleeping. The suspects asked the children where their father was.
Mdleleni said the suspects could not find the father and they alleged fired some shots.
“While the police were busy attending to the scene they were called to Santubi locality, where three men again kicked in a door, demanding money
and a firearm. They managed to get an undisclosed amount of cash and then fired
some shots, hitting a man (55),” said Mdleleni.
She added that the victim was
rushed to hospital and is in a stable condition.
Mdleleni confirmed that two
cases of attempted murder and house robbery were opened, but no arrests have been made.
