Port St Johns police detectives are urgently seeking community assistance in tracing a suspect who shot and killed two adult males aged 62 and 70 at Mhlotsheni locality in Majola Administrative Area.

community assistance in tracing a suspect who shot and killed two adult males
aged 62 and 70 at Mhlotsheni locality in Majola Administrative Area.

The incident occurred on August 10 at about 8:30 according
to police spokesperson Sergeant Kaya Matola-Mvanyashe.

“It is alleged that on August 10 at about 8:30 three elderly
persons were on their way to Mhlotsheni locality when they were accosted by an
unknown male suspect who appeared from the nearby bushes an fired several shots
at them.”

“The two male victims aged 60 and 72 years old succumbed to
their injuries while the wife of one of the victims was unhurt,”
Matola-Mvanyashe said.

The motive for the murders remains mystery and police are
investigating two cases of murder.

remain anonymous,” Matola-Mvanyashe concluded.
