NGQELENI-BORN independent rapper, Solanga Twantwa (26), who goes by the stage name Biggs XA in rap music circles, has released his second extended play (EP), a collection of eight rap tracks, titled Dreams of a Broken Skull.

The EP was officially released on June 9 and is currently available on Audiomack, with plans at having it available on other popular music download and streaming platforms as well.

Biggs XA’s latest offering is a follow up to his 2019 EP, titled Dreams of a Sleepless Soul.

“I started in the arts industry as a poet, back in 2009 and used to recite my poems to my younger brother, who persuaded me to use my skill to write poems into writing rap music rhymes,” says the Lujecweni-born Biggs XA.

He initially started as a rapper as part of a quartet, before pursuing a solo career with the release of his debut single, titled Corana Delakufa, in 2014, which was followed by another single, released in 2016, titled Buyel’embo.

Biggs XA releases his music under the Mthatha Home Brewed Entertainment record label, which he and his younger brother jointly own.

The EP producers were Nine3 and E.Random.
