Mnya Sport Academy chairperson, Mnyamezeli Madolo, said they saw it as important to applaud and honour these two legends as they are still alive so that they can feel that their contribution in sport is important.

The two were honoured during the team awards ceremony last Saturday Sinekgaya Madiloyi walk away with the player of the season and player’s player awards.

Sinesipho Kiya scoop goal of the season award, Ababalwe Qikane, won the young player of the year award while Sandile Mvana won goal scorer (top goal scorer) after scoring a total of 17 goals.

Mnya FC finished the SAB inland stream in position 5 out of 9 teams.

Chairperson Madolo said the players played very well last season and they deserve to be appreciated. He said the players worked very hard and at the beginning of the season they released 90% of the squad including the technical team after experiencing some challenges.

“We told the new players to fight the relegation and indeed they did that successfully, and we completed the season in position five,” said Madolo.
