ABC Motsepe League Eastern Cape Stream B side, Sinenkani FC, was left disappointed over the weekend after they failed to win the league title.

Despite the Bizana-based team producing an impressive performance, when they demolished Dutywa town team, Matta Milan FC, on Saturday afternoon, they failed to overtake league leaders, BCM Stars, in the last round of the season over the weekend.

Approaching the weekend fixtures, which were the last round of matches for the season in Stream B, co-head coach Tshepo Motseoneng’s troops were hoping that BCM Stars would either lose or play to a draw so that they could have an opportunity to claim top spot, should they win their match against Matta Milan FC

Unfortunately for Sinenkani, BCM Stars were on a clear mission, as they defeated Birmingham City by 4-1 to be crowned as ABC Motsepe League EC Stream B champions for this season.

This results have left Motseoneng’s troops very disappointed, as they were hoping to redeem themselves by winning the Stream B league title, just to forget what happened in Nedbank Cup last 16, when they were eliminated by Tshakhuma FC earlier this month.

But unfortunately, Sinenkani FC has suffered another disappointment in the space of three weeks.

The teams who win their streams in the ABC Motsepe League will face each other in the deciding match which will determine which team will be crowned as the overall Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League champions for this season.

The winner will get an opportunity to represent the province in the ABC Motsepe League national promotion play-offs.

SA Spear of the Nation FC won Stream A with 46 points, while BCM Stars won Stream B with 31 points.
