Soccer teams from Hollywoodbets Super League are expected to finalise their preparations for the brand new season this week, as they will return to action next weekend.
The Hollywoodbets Super League draft fixture list shows that the season is expected to kick start on April 2 with all 16 teams in action.
The two Eastern Cape-based teams, City Lads FC and Thunderbirds Ladies, will be among those in action next weekend.
The Butterworth-based team, Thunderbirds Ladies, will start their league campaign away when they travel to Golden Ladies, while Gqeberha team, City Lads, will open their league account by hosting UWC FC.
In recent weeks, both Eastern Cape outfits hosted trials to scout players to strengthen their squads.
Thunderbirds Ladies’ coach, Thembalethu Apleni, revealed in a recent interview with Mthatha Express, that they were busy travelling to others provinces, just to scout players.
He further said this season they wanted to compete with among the best teams in the division.
Hollywoodbets Super League newcomers, City Lads, are expected to reinforce their team just to avoid relegation in their first time participation in the division.
