A radio presenter from Sajonisi Youth Radio (SYR) in Port St Johns, Nosihle Mvundlela, is appealing to her supporters to vote for her as she is through to the final stage of the Lelika Yehova IhlabathiNenzaliseko programme on Umhlobo Wenene FM. The programme was hosted by Nomthunzi Vuza, known as mama ka-Ma-Asie, who has now retired.

Mvundlela said she could not believe her ears when she received a call from the management of this radio station telling her the good news. She said she was working in Lusikisiki when she received the call.

“I was very shocked when I received calls and messages from different people informing me that I have been shortlisted.

“Being shortlisted on national radio is a big step; I could not hide how I felt after this good news, especially since the competition was very tough,” said Mvundlela. She added that if she was granted an opportunity, she would make sure that she worked together with the listeners.

Mvundlela said that she was putting her trust in God and she thanked her supporters for showing love and support in her journey.

“I appeal to them to support me so that I could win this competition. Anyone who is willing to vote for could sms ‘Inkolo 2’ to 45858.”

Voting lines will close on March 30 at midnight. The announcement of the winner will be made on March 31 on the same programme.
