KEEPACTIVE Sport Development of Gqeberha is expected to host the 2024 Dana Cup u/17 trials at Rotary Stadium in Mthatha on Saturday, September 30.
All young players from around Mthatha and surrounding villages interested in participating in the trials are invited.
The trials are meant to select players who will represent KeepActive Sport Development in the annual u/17 Dana Cup competition at Denmark next year in July.
The Gqeberha-based development is visiting all regions within the province, scouting talented young players who will participate in the next edition of the Dana Cup in 2024.

Interested players will pay a R700 registration fee.
This year the Gqeberha team were part of the u/17 Dana Cup competition and they were eliminated in the quarter-finals after they played well during group, as they finished in second position in their group.
FC Tshabalala player from Butterworth, Orion Moltot, was among the players representing KeepActive Sport Development during the tournament in July, and he was impressed about their trip to Denmark.
Moltot was impressed how European teams displayed football and their physicality, and he said that they learnt a lot when they were in Denmark..
It means those who will be selected this year to represent KeepActive Sport Development will have an opportunity of a lifetime to learn more about football, and gain more experience of playing on a high stage.
Previously trials were hosted at Gqeberha and East London.
