The OR Tambo District Municipality has confirmed the discovery of three more bodies of people who went missing following the devastating floods that hit Coffee Bay under King Sabata Dalinyebo Local Municipality last week.
This brings the total number of recovered bodies to five from the six people that were reported as missing.

Search continues for a the two-year-old boy who went missing with his mother and sister after the house they were sleeping in was swept away by floods on February 17.
Members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) Navy Divers has, since Tuesday, also joined in the search and recovery of missing people.
Two bodies of siblings from Qhogi Village were recovered on Tuesday while a body of an 18-year-old woman was found yesterday.
The young woman’s body was recovered in bushes about five kilometers where she had been washed away.
“The Department of Social Development is providing psychosocial support to the survivors who witnessed the tragedy.”
“Meanwhile, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is conducting needs assessment to determine the necessities of communities members that have been affected,” said OR Tambo District Municipality spokesperson, Zimkhita Macingwane.
SANDF members are also in the Coffee Bay area to assess the damages and continues with the paving of bypass routes.
