The owner of Red Label The Dreamer’s Vision & Entertainment, Siyanda Xulaba, is planning to help the youth by opening a new television studio, which would be operating from his music studio in his home in New Payne in Mthatha.
Talking to Express, he said they were planning to have the studio functioning by April this year. Xulaba is a singer and a music producer.
To ensure that his dream would come true, he worked with different stakeholders.
“I noticed that if the artists wanted to appear on television, they had to go to Johannesburg but now that we would have our own television studio here things would be easier for us. I decided last year that this studio must be functioning this year.
“Besides entertainment, we want to engage the municipality so that if they have an announcement, they could use our studio,” said Xulaba.
He added that this would also help students who had studied journalism and public relations to have a place where they could do their in-service training.
He also thanked his mentor, Stanford Matenda, who was his lecturer at Walter Sisulu University (WSU).
