Two learners from Ntabankulu High School in Ntabankulu died when a bus they were traveling in on their way to school overturned this morning.
According to the Department of Transport’s spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, this incident happened at Mantlaneni Locality.
“The bus had nine occupants on board. Seven other occupants, including the driver, were rushed to hospital with injuries,” said Binqose.
He added that the driver allegedly lost control of the bus and it overturned.
He confirmed that one learner was declared dead on the scene, while the other died on arrival at the hospital.
