A worship singer from Butterworth Christian Centre (BCC), in Butterworth, Gcinikhaya Jele, has released his first gospel song, titled Imvuselelo.
Jele said he used to sing soprano at his school, to the extent that when preparing for a school choir competition, he used to sing with girls.
“I chose this kind of music because, at home, we are Christians.
“Singing gospel had led me to have a closer relationship with God,” said Jele.
He added that he recorded the single live at BCC, and this has made things easier for him because, now, his DVD and CDs are already available.
He confirmed that between April and May this year, he was planning to host a live gospel concert in East London.
Jele said, at the moment, he was still trying to finalise the venue and the costs that might appear.
His CDs would be available as from this week from him and at BCC.
