A writer from Zingcuka location in Ngqamakhwe published his new book titled, Isililo Senkadama, with the aim of advising people who are facing different challenges to remain strong.
Yamkela Mbonsiwa (27) said he started writing diaries on Facebook, but he did not know that one day he would have his own book, since he did not know how to achieve such a goal.
He said he found a publisher on Facebook, who assisted him with publishing his 186-page book.
“My book is about a young girl who lost her mother at an early age, and was forced to drop out from school to look after her siblings. But at the end of the day she managed to become a doctor.
“This shows that even if you are facing different challenges now, one day you would see the light. I want to make sure that those who have lost hope can regain it,” said Mboniswa.
He added that nowadays most homesteads are child-headed families. Even though it is difficult now for some of them, one day their lives will change.
Mboniswa said he is busy writing another book, which will be a novel about 100 pages long.
Mboniswa said he had not yet chosen the novel’s title, since he was still working on it.
He advised children who wanted to become authors or publishers to complete their education first.
